The move to food
Michelle brought in the idea of offering vegetarian and vegan food. Dried fruit and nuts were among the first products. Step by step, the drugstore shop became a food company.

Michelle and Kosta met while studying law. Kosta and his friend Robert were reading Günter Faltin's book “Kopf schlägt Kapital”. The idea: sell products in larger packs and simplify the supply chain.
KoRo started with laundry detergent, cleaning products and dishwasher tabs. The name combines Kosta and Robert. While building the business, the founders worked on the side: Kosta in a copy shop, Michelle in a bar and Robert as a removals worker.

Large packs, sourcing as directly as possible and transparent product information defined the approach. Manufacturers' existing packaging was used as well. That simplified coordination and processes.
Piran Asci first worked at KoRo as a student employee. When Robert Schyska left the company in 2016, Piran took over his shares and became managing director. Together with Kosta and the team, he continued to build KoRo.

As the range grew, so did purchasing, logistics, sales and the team. Piran took on marketing and purchasing. Michelle worked on product, purchasing and supply chains. Kosta helped build processes and the organisation and later focused closely on leadership and company culture.
After eleven years in the operating business, Kosta moved to the advisory board. He still holds his stake in KoRo.
Today
Michelle now supports other food companies. Kosta devotes himself to his own ventures in mobility and sport. THE HOUSE brings these activities together.
